Read what some of my coaches have to say about Body by Jess
Hi. My name is Tawnya Landis. This is my story.
I met Jess when our girls took a dance class together. From the moment she talked to me, I knew she cared. She invited me to join her challenge group and to sign up as a coach to hold myself accountable. At the time, I had three young kids and was very sleep deprived. I was miserable in my own skin and had zero energy. I knew something needed to change, and I desperately wanted to fit into my clothes again. I was very nervous to get started, but I knew Jess would guide me along the way. I was able to get in the best shape of my life at age 35! I loved the workouts and Shakeology changed my life. Before I was fueling my body with junk food and caffeine. Now I eat clean (still enjoy a few treats here and there) and love the way I feel! All my cravings are gone!
Coaching changed my life. When I started, I was not in great shape. But I had a heart to help others, and I knew if I was accountable to my group I would stick with it. After 18 months, I retired my husband and by year three I was making six figures a year. I love my coaching community and the amazing people I work with. It truly does not feel like a job! Jess has been an amazing mentor and leader. I am forever grateful for all she has done for me. It has changed our lives! Thank you, Jess!

Hi, My name is Shalida Grey. This is my story.
The coaching opportunity has been rewarding in so many ways. I’m getting in the best shape ever, while helping others on their fitness journey. I have been able to earn free trips, extra income, and most importantly build a business that is all about serving people and truly helping others become healthy and confident. It is so rewarding to get up everyday, inspire others, and work on yourself all at the same time. The future looks so much brighter…I am a Beachboy coach and I absolutely love it!
Hi. My name is Brad Bizjack. This is my story.
I started my journey while working 80 hours a week in the corporate world. As I’m sure you could guess, I fell victim to excuses, saying “I don’t have time to workout” or “I don’t have time to get healthy meals ready, so I’m just gonna eat in the cafeteria at work.” And I did! I was spending almost 15 dollars a day on breakfast, snacks, and lunch. That’s $4,000 a year if you take out weekends!
One day, I was sitting at my desk and I remember seeing one of the buttons on my collared shirt pulling really tightly around my belly. And that was it. I was done. I had gone from an athletic guy in great shape to 30 lbs. overweight. I went home that night and immediately went online and did my homework on convenient ways to get healthy.
I stumbled upon Shakeology, and my initial thought was “Hell no! There is no way I’m paying that for a bag of powder.” But then I read the reviews, and I saw nothing but amazing things about it. So I gave it a shot.
I ended up being a customer lead to my coach, Jess. She helped me change my life. She believed in me. She told me that I could accomplish anything. With her guidance, I lost 30 lbs. within 2 months of working out for 45 minutes a day at home.
Was it hard? Heck yes. It was very hard. But it was more than worth it, because now I wake up proud of my body and myself every single day. It’s been 3 years since that point and I remain in the best shape of my life thanks to Jess believing in me through the process.
I grew up in a very limiting childhood. It was filled with emotional abuse and consistent financial limitations that tore my parents apart. It was always paycheck to paycheck. In my parents’ eyes, “That’s just the way it is.” So that was ingrained in me when I came out of school drowning in $100K of student debt.
I came out of school determined to earn an income. And I did. But I was miserable. I was working 80 hours a week with zero passion behind what I was doing! I was angry and miserable with a long distance relationship and $100K of debt, and I was making zero impact. I thought back to my entire life growing up, and I just had a gut feeling that I was meant to do something big.
I’m sure you can imagine I gained some weight. So I searched online and ended up purchasing a bag of Shakeology. I instantly started to notice my mindset and health improve. It was day and night! I was a free customer lead that was given to my upline, Jess. Little did I know that she was the woman who would change my entire life.
After giving the business some thought, I dove in. I made the choice that I was going to change my future, live a life of significance, and not be a victim to circumstance anymore. What’s funny is that I joined this looking for a business, but I found a community where it’s okay to dream and there isn’t a limit on what your reality can be. And here I am 3 years later. The result? I left that corporate job and work part time for myself. I’ve made some of the best friends of my life. Our team has changed thousands of lives. I’ve been taking huge chunks out of my debt. I was able to get engaged and move to the same city as my fiance. And because Jess had the courage to believe in me, I’m going to be able to give my future kids the childhood that I never had.
“It was the first time that someone in my life told me, “I believe in you,” and there wasn’t a condition attached … this business changed my entire life.”
Hi, My name is Alicia Mers. This is my story.
MY STORY goes like this!!!! Growing up, I was always pretty fit and healthy. My mom is a naturopathic doctor and my father is a French chef, so I grew up eating super healthy whole foods. I was an avid horseback rider, so that kept me very active. My weight, what I ate, and my body were never things I really thought about.
Fast-forward to six years ago, when I was pregnant with my twins. At 26 weeks, I was put on strict bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. For two months, I sat on my couch 24/7. No surprise, I ended up putting on about 60 pounds with that pregnancy. After my twins arrived, it was such a crazy chaotic time and my life became completely engulfed with them. I was an afterthought. I ate a lot for comfort and to make sure I had enough milk for them, so that extra weight stayed right where it was. I didn’t really notice it for a while, because I was so sleep deprived and only wearing nursing clothes anyways. Then, as they got older and I started to come out of my sleep-deprived coma, I looked at myself in the mirror and didn’t recognize myself.
Who was this woman staring back at me? She definitely didn’t look like what I pictured in my head. I would see pictures of myself and cringe, so I started avoiding having my picture taken or mirrors all together. I reached my breaking point one night when my husband and I were going to have our first date, our first time alone together since having our twins. I went to my closet to get dressed and nothing fit. Nothing but worn out, stretched out, spit up on maternity and nursing clothes. No WAY was I going to wear that on a date with my husband! I sat down on the floor and cried. I didn’t want to go. It was at that point that I realized my weight and my body were affecting my life, and something had to be done.
I decided to start working out at home, since going to the gym with twin toddlers was not an option. I started with Jillian Michaels DVDs and started seeing results, but not as quickly as I wanted. I tried Insanity, made it one week and gave up. Way too hard. Did ONE P90X workout and said no thanks. Then I heard about something called the ultimate reset, a 21 day cleanse. I decided to give it a try. I had amazing results, lost 10 pounds in 21 days, and felt like a million bucks! Then I heard about this new program coming out called 21 day fix, which made portion control and clean eating super simple, and I said SIGN ME UP! I did the 21 day fix, lost another 7 pounds, and started feeling like my old self again! I finally had enough energy to keep up with my girls and not need a nap every day!
At this point, my best friend started talking to me about coaching. I said no. Nope, that’s a pyramid scheme, not for me. She asked again. Nope I said, it’s all about sales, not for me. But she kept talking about it, so finally I decided to give it an honest look. See, we were struggling financially in a big way. My husband had a business venture go south and we were behind on everything; even our mortgage was threatening foreclosure. I didn’t want to go back to work full time and leave my twins, so I decided to give this whole coaching thing a try. I fell in love with the support system and new-found friendships, and I felt strong and confident in my skin, which improved my mood and our relationship! I had no idea it would lead me to finding a hidden drive. A drive to help others feel the same way that I did when I accomplished my fitness and health goals. A drive to see others succeed in fitness and business and a DRIVE to be the BEST that I could be! I saw an opportunity to not just change my body. but to change our entire family’s lives! I had a feeling, I had belief, and I went for it!
Now, 2.5 years later, I am able to work from home full time, all around my family’s schedule. We have taken amazing vacations together (with more to come) and created magical moments I know will last a lifetime. I now have a sense of purpose and passion in my life that was missing before. I wake up excited each and every day to push play on my workouts, to fuel my body with clean food, and to grow a business where I can help others have the same success that I have had.
